Chhapaak is one of the foremost looked forward to films of 2020 for varied reasons.
The film is an ode to acid attack survivors and initiates a conversation about the horrendous crimes that are administered against women.
During an interview with a news website, speaking about the film and its importance, Virant said, "I just hope with this film a conversation starts on why acid attacks happen on women, and what actions got to be taken to prevent the heinous crime. it's not that we don't know, it's just that we ignore."
Further talking about what makes the film so special, "Seldom has it happened that we glance beyond appearance when it involves a romance. In our cinema, we always prioritize vanity and therefore the great thing about the girl. Here may be a romance where the boy and therefore the girl falling crazy due to the individuals they're. This a part of the narrative is extremely special," he said.
Vikrant also had nothing but praises to shower on his co-star Deepika. He said that as an actress, for the character of Maltii, Deepika gave her all which is commendable.
Chhapaak will release on January 10, 2020, and can lock horns with Ajay Devgn, Kajol, and Saif Ali Khan starrer Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior.
