ambassador Priyanka Chopra was a part of the much-celebrated 'One World: Together At Home' concert, organized by Lady Gaga. She spread a message on the impact of coronavirus and the way it is often addressed, especially in refugee camps, where they are doing not even have basic sanitation and clean water.
She then went on to speak about how the camps cannot afford social distancing and deserve some basic means. Priyanka said, "I have witnessed first hand a number of the overcrowded and unliveable conditions in refugee camps. Social distancing there's simply not an option. so as to curb the spread of COVID-19, for these specific communities, the means are basic - healthcare, clean water, sanitation."
Lauding the cause, the actress went on to state, "Global Citizen and therefore the WHO are two organizations that I'm personally very proud to face in the fight against COVID-19. within the fight to finish this crisis, we truly can not afford to go away anyone behind."
