Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma returned to India after having a hush-hush wedding on December 11 in Tuscany, Italy. Since the intimate wedding was only attended by close friends and family members, the power couple planned to host two receptions, one in Delhi and the other in Mumbai. The Delhi reception which was held on Thursday saw the presence of cricketers Suresh Raina, Gautam Gambhir and Shikhar Dhawan, apart from the couple's family members and close friends. 

Moreover, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also made it to Virat and Anushka's reception and the couple as well as other guests were absolutely elated to see him. As soon as he entered the venue, he congratulated the newlywed couple and in fact brought two special presents for Virushka. Well, the PM got two beautiful roses for Virat and Anushka and the couple couldn’t stop smiling on receiving the gifts.

Earlier on Wednesday, Virat and Anushka had personally met PM Modi and invited him for their wedding reception in Delhi. The Prime Minister’s Office tweeted a picture of the two with Modi as the couple handed over the invite to him. “Captain of the Indian cricket team @imVkohli and noted actor @AnushkaSharma met PM @narendramodi this evening. The Prime Minister congratulated them on their wedding,” the PMO said on Twitter.

Meanwhile, Virat and Anushka will host another reception in Mumbai on December 26 and the event is expected to have the who’s who of Bollywood and Cricket world in attendance.
