Sooni Taraporevala revealed that the studio was built from scratch for 'Yeh Ballet' and was 'copied' for the TVC.

Deepika Padukone's recent TVC for a denim brand has been accused of plagiarism by Yeh Ballet director Sooni Taraporevala. The filmmaker took to her Instagram page and wrote about how the entire set of Yeh Ballet designed by Shailaja Sharma has been blatantly copied for the commercial. The design for the TVC is completed by Rupin Suchak who was even asked by an Instagram user. during a screenshot shared by Sooni, Rubin's comment read as "Yes we did. In fact, that’s what our director wanted so we had to recreate that."

Meanwhile, Sooni wrote in her post, "A few days ago @cindy_jourdain brought this @levis_in ad to my attention. I used to be shocked to ascertain our Yeh Ballet dance studio set during this ad because it had been conceptualized & created out of a derelict space by Shailaja Sharma @shalzoid (our PD) from scratch and dismantled after our shoot. No such dance studio exists in Mumbai which is why we built it. Basically, @nadiaeye (the director of this ad) saw Yeh Ballet and decided to plagiarize our set right down to the previous detail (swipe for screenshot). Would Levi’s and therefore the director ever consider doing that within the west without permission/acknowledgement, and spending it off as their own creative work? this is often not homage this is intellectual theft! But at an equivalent time, I won’t say that films are just star-driven because there are many films that don’t have stars but are backed by good stories.”

Among Dhar’s upcoming projects on OTT platforms, she plays an accountant in Mum Bhai and a psychiatrist in Dirty Games, besides a particularly different character for an additional untitled show. The 31-year-old is glad that she is “finally going to play the range” she has been looking for as an artist.

Talking about how this pandemic situation has favored the web, Dhar says, “While watching films in theatres are some things we’ve been looking forward to but not many would really like to require that health risk, which I can understand. Ananya Panday and Ishaan Khatter’s latest film Khaali Peeli underwent a bunch of cuts and editing to urge the Central Board of Film Certification’s approval. The film is going to be available to observe on pay per view basis online and at a couple of drive-in theatres.

Ishaan Khatter and Ananya Panday’s film Khaali Peeli are going to be out on October 2 not just on your laptop and television screens but also at a couple of drive-in theatres in Gurugram and Bengaluru. The producers were also asked to feature a disclaimer within the beginning that nobody attached to the movie supports exploitation and objectification of youngsters and ladies. They were also asked to extend the font size of their tobacco warning.

Helmed by debutant director Maqbool Khan and backed by filmmaker Ali Abbas Zafar, Himanshu Mehra, and Zee Studios, the film also stars Paatal Lok actor Jaideep Ahlawat. Khaali Peeli went on the floors in September last year and was scheduled for a June 12 release but was delayed thanks to the shuttering of film theatres.
