With films releasing in theatres again, it sure may be a good year for actors who have stayed far away from Bollywood films, to form a comeback?

2021 has begun on an honest note for the Hindi movie industry with films releasing within the theatres after an epidemic hit the nation forced the cinema halls to shut shop last year. 

With fans wanting to return to the theatres and filmmakers and stars excited to welcome the audience back to experience their films on the silver screen, it sure may be a good year for actors who have stayed far away from Bollywood films, to form a comeback. 

Here's an inventory of stars who are ready to form a comeback in 2021. Check it out. 

Shilpa Shetty Kundra is going to be returning to Bollywood after 13 long years. She was last seen within the 2007 film, 'Apne', during a full-fledged role. then, Shilpa gave a special appearance within the 2008 movie 'Dostana' within the song 'Shut Up and Dance'. She has two film releases this year – 'Hungama 2' and 'Nikamma'. Directed by Sabbir Khan, Nikamma also stars Abhimanyu Dasani and Shirley Setia. As for 'Hungama 2', actors Paresh Rawal, Pranitha Subhash, and Meezan are going to be seen in pivotal roles.

 

Ranbir Kapoor's mother Neetu Kapoor is going to be making a comeback this year with Raj Mehta's directorial 'Jug Jug Jeeyo'. The rom-com film has an ensemble cast including Neetu Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, and Kiara Advani within the lead roles. Prajakta Koli and Maniesh Paul are going to be seen in supporting roles within the film. Additionally, Neetu's film 'Ram Baran Singh' with late husband Rishi Kapoor, which was alleged to release in 2020, got delayed due to the pandemic. A release date is yet to be announced. 

 

Bhagyashree, who shot to fame with 'Maine Pyaar Kiya' are going to be making her comeback in 'Thalaivi' starring actor Kangana Ranaut within the lead role within the upcoming bilingual biopic on late Jayalalithaa. 

Even though Lara Dutta starred within the web series 'Hundred' in 2020, her Bollywood comeback are going to be in 2021 with Akshay Kumar's film'Bell Bottom'. 

Actor-director Divya Khosla Kumar who was last seen within the 2004 flick 'Ab Tumhare Hawale Watan Saathiyo', is going to be making a comeback in 2021 with John Abraham starrer 'Satyamev Jayate 2'.

Priyanka Chopra Jonas made her acting debut back within the year 2002 with a Tamil film.

Priyanka Chopra Jonas has been sharing her 20-year-long journey within showbiz on her Instagram page. Earlier, the actor shared her Miss World 2000 story with anecdotes from her mom Madhu Chopra and brother Siddharth Chopra. Now, Priyanka posted about her debut in movies starting with the Tamil flick Thamizhan wherein she was paired opposite Vijay. Soon after the PeeCee was seen in Hero: the romance of a Spy with Sunny Deol and Preity G Zinta and Andaaz alongside Akshay Kumar and Lara Dutta Bhupathi.

In the video shared by Priyanka, there's a message by Lara during which she says, "Working with Priyanka in Andaaz... very very special, especially if you've had that sort of history together, for her to be one among the primary female co-stars that I worked with. Both folks were really, I even have to mention kachha papads (novices)... we actually didn't know much about the industry. So, it had been specialized to possess, you know, watching each other's backs."

Priyanka captioned the video stating, "Back to where it all started... #20in2020 looks like another lifetime now... back when it all started and that I fell crazy with the films. Being in Indian movies was like entering a magical world... I went in blind, with no idea what to expect and no formal training. It’s been a rollercoaster ride of challenges and milestones with such a lot I’ve learned since then many incredible people I met along the way. I’d wish to thank everyone who took an opportunity on me at the start. These 3 movies set me abreast of a trajectory I might never have expected. Can't agree more Lala paaji @larabhupathi... Lara Dutta became the second Indian to be crowned at Miss Universe pageant within the year 2000. She was also touted as millennium's Miss Universe and as per reports has the record of gaining most points ever. it had been on May 12, 2020, the actor won the title at the event held in Nicosia, Cyprus. Now, as she completed 20 years, Lara took to her Instagram page and shared a series of photos from the event of each round till the crowning moment.

She wrote, "20 years to the day!! 12 th May 2000, Nicosia, Cyprus. What an exquisite gift to receive from the universe! One I’m eternally grateful for. @missindiaorg @missdivaorg @timesofindia @missuniverse #MilleniumsMissUniverse". During the crowning moment, Lara stunned during a red gown with a thigh-high slit and an extended red dupatta.

After Lara, no Indian has been crowned as Miss Universe and therefore the actor is expecting her successor. Talking about an equivalent, she told DNA Online, "I'm also asked how I feel and that i keep saying that I'm so able to Crown a replacement successor now for a replacement girl, fresh blood to require on this title. 20 years maybe a while and you recognize this is often something which will always be such an integral a part of your life i will be able to always be India's Miss Universe of the millennium."

When Lara was crowned Miss Universe, Priyanka Chopra won the Miss World title and Dia Mirza won Miss Asia Pacific within the same year.

She was Miss Universe of the Millenium and since then, India has had only two beauties winning Miss Universe title until now. The actor after her prestigious crowning moment entered the world of entertainment. She has been a part of several hit films and then her journey continued as a producer, wife, mother, and now an entrepreneur too. During an EXCLUSIVE interaction with DNA Online, Lara spoke about her beautiful two decade-journey.

She stated, "It has been amazing and life moves on. I'm sure I will be donning quite a few more hats before hanging up my boots. I am extremely grateful and blessed. Every single day I wake up and I just grateful for the life I had. Each phase has been its adventure and it's been fantastic."

Lara further spoke about finding her successor saying, "I'm also asked how I feel and I keep saying that I'm so ready to Crown a new successor now for a new girl, fresh blood to take on this title. 20 years is a long time and you know this is something that will always be such an integral part of your life I will always be India's Miss Universe of the millennium."

The Hundred actor was crowned Miss India 2000 alongside Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Dia Mirza, they both were later on crowned Miss World 2000 and Miss Asia Pacific 2000 respectively. So is Lara in touch with her fellow contemporaries after all these years? To which she replied, "Yes, I'm still very much in touch with both Priyanka and Dia and very constantly in touch. At least I know for sure that both of them are still a very integral part of my life. It's very easy for us to pick up a phone or anything and just reach out to each other immediately."
