New Movie Clash: Sambarala Yeti Gattu vs Maha Kali: The Clash Of Egos?
The upcoming Sankranthi season is expected to have many big movies, but one
interesting matchup is already getting a lot of attention: Sambarala Yeti
Gattu and Maha Kali.
After several delays, Sai Durga Tej's Sambarala Yeti Gattu has finally set its
release date for January 12, 2027. It will compete with Prasanth Varma's Maha
Kali, the next film in the Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe (PVCU), which is
set for January 8, 2027.
Interestingly, the two films are linked to teams that have had conflicts in
the past. The producers of HanuMan and director Prasanth Varma have had
disagreements before. Now their films are set to directly clash during
Sankranthi, making it a hot topic in the industry.
Although neither film seems like the best fit for the Sankranthi slot based on
their genres, the season is typically known for family-friendly entertainment.
This makes people wonder how these two movies will do during the festive
period.
Some believe the clash might also be driven by ego. Both sides may not want to
step aside from the Sankranthi race.
On the other hand,
Sankranthi 2027 is expected to be very competitive. Chiranjeevi and Bobby’s
Mega 158 and Nagarjuna’s King 100 are also reportedly targeting the same
season. Ravi Teja’s film with Sree Vishnu and Hashit Goli, Kalyan Ram’s film
with Anil Ravipudi, and Venkatesh’s film with Anil
Ravipudi are also said to be aiming for Pongal.
Maruthi’s Happy Pongal is another film going for the Sankranthi window.
With so many movies vying for the same season, Sankranthi 2027 could be one of
the most competitive box-office periods in recent times.
For now, Sambarala Yeti Gattu vs Maha Kali remains one of the most intriguing
matches to watch—especially because of the crowded Sankranthi race and the
past differences between the teams.
