This could perhaps be the highest per sqft price one has paid to buy a flat in western suburbs of Mumbai. Actor Tamannaah Bhatia of Bahubali fame recently bought a flat for Rs 80,778 per sqft in Versova. This is more than two times the ongoing rate in the area. She has bought the apartment from builder Sameer Bhojwani. According to brokers, hardly 500 meters away from this building, the rate in an upcoming building is Rs 35,000-40,000 per sqft.

The deal that was signed last month and documents of which this newspaper has accessed show that Bhatia paid Rs 16.60 crore for a 191 sqft flat, which translated into 2,055 sqft. The ready-reckoner rate for the apartment is Rs 4.56 crore she even paid Rs 99.60 lakh as stamp duty for the registration of the flat. The flat she bought is located on the 14th floor of the building named Bayview located at Juhu-Versova Link road. The building is 22 stories high.

She also has got two car parks along with the flat that she purchased. The documents show Sameer Bhojwani as the seller, and Tamannah Bhatia as the buyer, along with Tamannah, her mother Rajni Bhatia has also been shown as the purchaser. The Bhatias’ current address as per the documents is Lokhandwala Complex. Bhojwani has been in news off late for his ongoing tussle with veteran actor Dilip Kumar and Saira Banu regarding Bandra property.

According to a real estate broker from Bandra, aware about the deal, this building commands a premium for two reasons, “The building is 22 stories high, and it offers sea view from every side of the apartment. Secondly, the actor can have interiors the way she wants in the house,” he said.

The broker further pointed out that the actor will shell out further Rs 2 crore or more for carrying out interiors in the flats. Which means, the expense will further go up.

A detailed message sent to the public representative of Bhatia got us no response.

On May 2, another big-ticket deal took place, where the iconic RK Studios was sold by the Kapoor Siblings. In this deal, Godrej Properties Ltd paid an amount of Rs 250 crore to the five Kapoor Siblings for an area of 2.2 acres.

Milky beauty Tamannaah is a spree of signing horror thriller. The latest film in this genre is 'Raju Gari Gadhi 3' and the film is formally launched.

Ohmkar will be directing the third part of 'Raju Gari Gadhi' while Ashwin Babu will play the lead role.

Khamoshi is very predictable, warns Namrata Thakker.

Filmmaker Chakri Toleti’s Khamoshi is a painfully dull remake of a good Hollywood thriller called Hush.

I love the thriller genre and was surprisingly impressed with the trailer of Khamoshi.

Since I had watched the original, I was keen on watching the Hindi version to see if the makers had done justice to it.

But I was so disappointed.

Starring Tamannaah and Prabhu Deva, Khamoshi is about a deaf and mute girl, Surbhi (Tamannaah), who inherits a lot of wealth and a mansion after her adoptive mother passes away. She decides to donate part of it to an orphanage since she was an orphan herself.

A few people -- like Mr and Mrs Desai (Sanjay Suri and Bhumika Chawla) -- aren’t happy with her decision and eye her wealth.

The story really takes off when Dev (Prabhu Deva) comes into the picture.

He is schizophrenic and believes that Surbhi’s mansion rightfully belongs to him.

Surbhi and Dev are somehow related and the back story is very Bollywoodish.

Anyway, Dev arrives at the mansion and goes on a killing spree. Does he manage to kill Surbhi?

The movie is very predictable, so no surprises there.

Khamoshi simply fails to pack a punch as it has no thrills or scares.

If Chakri Toleti had simply copied Hush as it is, Khamoshi would have been better and not like the typical Bollywood thriller that it has turned out to be.

Both Tamannaah and Prabhu Deva are mediocre in the film.

Sanjay Suri and Bhumika Chawla hardly have any scenes and the rest of the supporting cast do not make an impact.
