During this lockdown period, we have seen many throwback pictures of celebrities doing rounds on social media. One such amazing picture of Aishwarya Rai has insanely gone viral across the web.

This picture was clicked during the late '90s when the actress was crowned Miss World in 1994. within the picture, we will see a former beauty queen eating a meal together with her mother Brinda Rai. She's wearing a pink saree wearing her Miss World crown and enjoying her food.

Many are praising Aishwarya for being so right down to earth to dine in a plate sitting on the ground in regular Indian fashion.

Lara Dutta took to her Instagram page and shared a series of photos from Miss India Universe event wherein she won the title.

Lara Dutta became the second Indian to be crowned at Miss Universe pageant within the year 2000. She was also touted as millennium's Miss Universe and as per reports has the record of gaining most points ever. it had been on May 12, 2020, the actor won the title at the event held in Nicosia, Cyprus. Now, as she completed 20 years, Lara took to her Instagram page and shared a series of photos from the event of each round till the crowning moment.

She wrote, "20 years to the day!! 12 th May 2000, Nicosia, Cyprus. What an exquisite gift to receive from the universe! One I’m eternally grateful for. @missindiaorg @missdivaorg @timesofindia @missuniverse #MilleniumsMissUniverse". During the crowning moment, Lara stunned during a red gown with a thigh-high slit and an extended red dupatta.

After Lara, no Indian has been crowned as Miss Universe and therefore the actor is expecting her successor. Talking about an equivalent, she told DNA Online, "I'm also asked how I feel and that i keep saying that I'm so able to Crown a replacement successor now for a replacement girl, fresh blood to require on this title. 20 years maybe a while and you recognize this is often something which will always be such an integral a part of your life i will be able to always be India's Miss Universe of the millennium."

When Lara was crowned Miss Universe, Priyanka Chopra won the Miss World title and Dia Mirza won Miss Asia Pacific within the same year.

It's been 20 years since Lara Dutta Bhupathi has been crowned Miss Universe 2000. She was Miss Universe of the Millenium and since then, India has had only two beauties winning Miss Universe title until now. The actor after her prestigious crowning moment entered the world of entertainment. She has been a part of several hit films and then her journey continued as a producer, wife, mother, and now an entrepreneur too. During an EXCLUSIVE interaction with DNA Online, Lara spoke about her beautiful two decade-journey.

She stated, "It has been amazing and life moves on. I'm sure I will be donning quite a few more hats before hanging up my boots. I am extremely grateful and blessed. Every single day I wake up and I just grateful for the life I had. Each phase has been its adventure and it's been fantastic."

Lara further spoke about finding her successor saying, "I'm also asked how I feel and I keep saying that I'm so ready to Crown a new successor now for a new girl, fresh blood to take on this title. 20 years is a long time and you know this is something that will always be such an integral part of your life I will always be India's Miss Universe of the millennium."

The Hundred actor was crowned Miss India 2000 alongside Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Dia Mirza, they both were later on crowned Miss World 2000 and Miss Asia Pacific 2000 respectively. So is Lara in touch with her fellow contemporaries after all these years? To which she replied, "Yes, I'm still very much in touch with both Priyanka and Dia and very constantly in touch. At least I know for sure that both of them are still a very integral part of my life. It's very easy for us to pick up a phone or anything and just reach out to each other immediately."

Sushmita Sen confessed that the robe she wore while winning Miss India was made up of cloth bought from Sarojini Nagar in Delhi, revealed the actress to late actor Farooq Shaikh

Sushmita Sen, who was crowned 'Miss India' in 1994, actually wore a gown stitched together from a fabric bought from Sarojini Nagar, a marketplace in Delhi. Sushmita revealed an equivalent in an interview with late actor Farooq Shaikh on his show 'Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai'.

The video is now going viral. Sushmita is often heard telling Shaikh within the video, "We did not have enough money to afford designer outfits. we would have liked four costumes. We were middle-class people and that we knew our restrictions."

Sen then went on to speak about how her mother gave her the arrogance to hold the robe. "My mother said, 'So what? they're not getting to check out your clothes, they're getting to check out you.' So we bought a bit of cloth from Sarojini Nagar market. Downstairs, within the garage, there was an area tailor who made petticoats. We gave him the fabric and said, 'This will come on TV, make an honest dress.' He made my winning gown out of that fabric and my mother made a rose out of the remaining fabric. We bought fresh black socks, cut it, put elastic in it then I wore them as gloves," revealed Sushmita.

"The day I won Miss India wearing that gown was a really big day on my behalf of me. you do not need money to urge what you would like, your intention should be right," she was heard talking within the video. Sushmita appeared together with her parents on the show.

Sushmita Sen had gone on to defeat Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as she won Miss Universe title in 1994 and have become the primary to try to so from India. Seen in Bengali films lately, Sen worked in popular Bollywood movies like 'Biwi No 1', 'Maine Pyar Kyun Kiya' and 'Main Hoon Na'.
