Andhra Pradesh, which is conducting a 3-day CII Partnership Summit in Vizag city, has invited investments in automobile sector with special incentives to solar and e-vehicles manufacturing in the state. 'We are sure that promote the n of green energy (wind and solar) will also benefit the tourism in state and asked GoI to set up an Energy Saving Department,' said Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu during the meeting.
He added that, 'we want to sign an MOU for production of 1 lakh electric vehicles in state. Andhra Pradesh is a safe spot for investment in all the sectors as we're very focused on deploying advanced & digital technologies. In the past, our vision-2020 fetched excellent results in Hyderabad & the city has become knowledge economy now. Today, by taking all the available resources into consideration, we prepared a mission for AP too. Using the creative Human Resources, 1000-kms sea coast & fertile lands, we are aiming to be in the list of top 3 states in India by 2022. By 2029, Andhra Pradesh will be No.1 in the country on economic criteria and on happiness as index.'
Speaking at this event, the AP Minister for IT, Nara Lokesh said that state government is majorly focused on 'skill up' and said- 'we are the first state in india to create an institute for digital technologies which is focused on next generation. Also, we're the first state to have a cyber warfare centre where students can hack into each other's systems and creative an environment where they can learn and collaborate together.'
The young Minister is hopeful of making AP a platform for young innovators and entrepreneurs across the globe. CII Summit, participated by delegations from more than 50 countries, is extensively aimed to attract new investments for the state.
On Saturday, the AP government inked 77 MoUs with various companies worth Rs 31,546 Crores. On Sunday, Reliance group has signed an MoU to invest 52,000 Cr in state. The Mukesh Ambani-led group will invest 37,000 Cr in oil and gas venture and another 15,000 Cr in an electronics production plant in Tirupati.
