Officer' Nagarjuna Stole Chaitu's Date

Are the films of Nagarjuna Akkineni and his son Naga Chaitanya are going to clash at the box office this summer? The tentative release dates for the films suggest so.

The other day, besides revealing the title and first look of his upcoming film starring Nagarjuna, RGV also announced its release date, May 25. Titled 'Officer', the film is a hard-boiled cop story. The plan is to avoid summer biggies (Rangasthalam, Bharat Ane Nenu, and Naa Peru Surya) but still take the advantage of the holidays season.

Interestingly, Naga Chaitanya also has the similar strategy and hence he planned the release of his new film, 'Savyasachi' on May 24. His producers, however, haven't yet made an official announcement in this regard. They have now received a huge jolt after Nag's film came out of the blue and booked the date they were eyeing on.

The present situation is that Chaitu can neither afford to miss the prosperous date nor clash with his father's film. There is a least likely possibility of the father and son sharing theatres and release their films with the one-day gap. 

Since the release date of Nag's film has already been announced, it might not be altered. It's Chaitu's call now, of course with the advice of Nag.
