Oscars 2018 Live: Jimmy Kimmel kickstarts!

As the stage is all set for Hollywood's boogie night I.e biggest cinema event- Oscars2018, cinephiles across the globe are looking forward to seeing the winners of 90th annual Academy Awards. With 13 nominations in various categories, Guillermo Del Toro's 'The Shape of Water' emerged as a film that got the highest number of nominations.

Christopher Nolan's Dunkirk and 'Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri' are two other films leading in the game with around 8 noms each. For his role in Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, Sam Rockwell already won an Oscar in 'best-supporting actor' category. The film has already grabbed 'Best Picture' category award at Golden Globes & SAG awards.

While Costume designer Mark Bridges won an Oscar award for 'Phantom Thread', Nolan's Dunkirk swept 'Best Sound Mixing' award for outstanding mixing. Gregg Landaker and Gary A.Rizzo won this award while other nominations in the category include 'The Shape of Water', 'Blade Runner 2049', 'Star Wars' & 'Baby Driver'.

This 2018, 90th Academy Awards event, is being hosted by the famous American TV host and comedian Jimmy Kimmel, 50. He kick-started the evening with few political jabs. The red carpet interviews with stars and filmmakers is another great thing to rave about this Oscars.
