Superstar Shah Rukh Khan has welcomed Dinesh Karthik as the new captain for KKR.

Shah Rukh Khan took to his social media handle and tweeted, "As we stand poised for a new season of KKR we welcome Dinesh Karthik as our captain. Like our captains over the years, we know you will also lead us by boosting the self-esteem and dignity of all of us`

On 4 March 2018, Dinesh Karthik was appointed the captain of KKR for IPL 2018 and Robin Uthappa was named a vice-captain 

Dinesh Karthik is an Indian wicketkeeper-batsman who made his debut for the Indian cricket team in 2004.He replaced Gautam Gambhir who was the captain of the KKR since 2011 

The Knight Riders hold the record for the longest winning streak by any Indian team in T20s.
