Governor Touches Woman's Cheek, Lands In Trouble

Tamil Nadu Governor Banwarilal Purohit landed in big trouble. He patted the cheek of a senior woman journalist at a press conference.

Purohit held a press conference after a woman professor of Virudhunagar, arrested in a sex scandal. She claimed proximity to the Governor. 

After winding up press meet, the Governor moved towards the woman journalist Laxmi Subramanian and patted her cheek before leaving the place. 

She tweeted - "Washed my face several times. Still not able to get rid of it. So agitated and angered Mr. Governor Banwarilal Purohit. It might be an act of appreciation for you and grandfatherly attitude. But to me you are wrong." 

Taking serious note of the incident, journalists unions were demanding an unconditioned apology from Purohit after Lakshmi Subramanian tweeted a picture in which the governor is seen patting her cheek and expressed her shock at his behavior.
