Bride-to-be Sonam Kapoor personally invites Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to her wedding

Sonam Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's rumored catfight over red carpet appearance at Cannes Film Festival is still fresh in memories. The two actress who represents the same cosmetic giant at the French Rivera has never walked the red carpet together and made a headline when Sonam called Ash 'aunty' in an interview. 

But there are no permanent friendships or enemies in Bollywood and the two actresses are also ready to patch up on the happy occasion. 'Veere Di Wedding' actress is all set to tie the knot to her longtime beau Anand Ahuja on May 8th and since entire Bachchan clan is going to be there, Sonam decided to let bygone be bygones with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as well. 

According to Pinkvilla report, the actress has personally invited Bachchan Bahu for her wedding. Reportedly, Sonam's mother Sunita Kapoor bumped into Aishwarya at the wedding reception of Saudamini Mattu, the niece of designer Sandeep Khosla. The two ladies warmly greeted each other where Sunita Kapoor made it a point to invite her to her daughter’s wedding. Bride-to-be also called her and the two ladies ended chatting up for a few minutes after which Aishwarya graciously accepted the invitation.

After all, there are too many connections between the two- Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is currently working with her father Anil Kapoor in 'Fannie Khane' while Sonam- Abhishek have worked together in ‘Delhi 6’ and ‘Players’ in the past.

Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja's wedding celebrations begin on Monday with Mehendi ceremony, late in the afternoon at Sonam’s plush pad in Bandra Kurla Complex. The dress code is ‘Indian Festive — Shades of White’. The wedding ceremony will take place the following morning, May 8, at Sonam’s aunt Kavita Singh’s bungalow Rockdale in Bandstand, Bandra, where the guests are expected to dress in ‘Indian Traditional’. The grand reception will take place on the same evening at The Leela. The families have invited the guests for the ‘party’ to join them for ‘an evening of dance and music to celebrate Sonam & Anand’. The dress code is ‘Indian or Western Formal’.
