The movie 3 Idiots, based on a novel of Chetan Bhagat, remains one of the most successful films of Bollywood actor Aamir Khan. The movie was much loved and appreciated in not just India, but also in China and other parts of the globe. What made the movie even more special was the fact, that it wasn't just successful in garnering commercial success, but also managed to impress the critics alike. The impact it left on the minds and hearts of the audience also cannot be missed.
Now, if recent reports are to be believed, then there may be a sequel to 3 Idiots from its makers, in the offing as well. Why do we say so? Well, speculations are rife that director Rajkumar Hirani recently revealed in one of his interviews for the promotions of Ranbir Kapoor starrer Sanju, that he's working on the script of a sequel to 3 Idiots with writer Abhijat Joshi. Back in January 2016, during a press conference for the celebrations of 10 years of Rang De Basanti, Aamir Khan had also mentioned that Hirani has found a story for a sequel to 3 Idiots. Looks like that is finally taking some shape.
Though, Hirani didn't divulge further details, but he apparently made it clear that after Sanju, he will immerse himself in Munnabhai 3 and will be able to begin working on 3 Idiots sequel post that.
As far as Sanju is concerned, the movie is based on the life and times of Sanjay Dutt. It will hit the theatres on June 29.
