Sanjay Dutt is impressed with Ranbir Kapoor in Sanju, says he is doing a fantastic job

Ranbir Kapoor plays Sanjay Dutt in Rajkumar Hirani’s Sanju. This is Sanjay Dutt’s advice for the young star.

Ever since pictures from the sets of Rajkumar Hirani’s Sanju leaked online, Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor has been receiving accolades for not only looking like Sanjay Dutt but also channeling his gait and persona. Ranbir plays the role of Khalnayak actor in the up channeling, Sanju. And now, Ranbir has the approval right from where it matters - Sanjay Dutt himself. In an interview to ETimes, the 58-year-old actor has said Ranbir is “doing a fantastic job”.

Speaking to the tabloid, Sanjay said, “There is no advice for Ranbir Kapoor. He is doing a fantastic job. Whatever I have seen on the sets of the movie, it is really great. I just wish him all the best and I am looking forward to watch the movie.”

Interestingly, Sanjay’s close friend Salman Khan had recently told PTI, “ For Sanju, I was thinking why is somebody else playing this bit? The last 8-10 years. You cannot do justice to that. Sanju should have played the last bit.”

The film is slated to hit theatres on June 29 and features Anushka Sharma, Sonam Kapoor, Manisha Koirala, Paresh Rawal, Vicky Kaushal, Dia Mirza and Jim Sarbh among several others.
