If YS Rajasekhar Reddy deserves credit for kickstarting the trend of Padayatra, Both his Son and Daughter continued the legacy. Never been before three members of the same family conducted padayatras at such a level.
Maha Neta created history with over 1500-km long padayatra in 2003. Telugu People could still remember the memorable moments during YSR's padayatra. Jagan wished to conduct padayatra in 2013 itself. He, however, wasn't able to do so because of political vendetta. That's when his Sister Sharmila took the responsibility to walk for record number of kilometers (2,800 km).
From close to eight months, YS Jagan has been conducting Praja Sankalpa Yatra to repeat history. He covered 10 districts by walking 2,430 km in a span of 200 days. The response for Jagan's padayatra is overwhelming irrespective of the location. It's never easy to have a smile on face while facing many challenges and hardships. Not a surprise, Jagan is a role model for AP Youth. Padayatra has certainly increased the poll prospects of YSR Congress. Opponents will have tough time in the next elections because of the YCP Wave!
