The phenomenal success of RX100 is taking its director to unexpected quarters. Debutante Ajay Bhupathi, a former assistant of Ram Gopal Varma, directed RX100. Ajay is already one of the most sought after directors in Tollywood. Sold to the buyers for just 2.7 crores, the film has collected nearly 11 crore share.
Now, RX100 will be remade in Hindi. One of the top Bollywood production houses Phantom will be bankrolling the project. Phantom had earlier produced a handful of acclaimed movies like Gajini, Queen and Gangs of Wasseypur. Critically acclaimed director Anurag Kashyap is one of the founder members of Phantom.
Ajay Bhupathi has already held talks with Madhu Manthena, one of the head honchos at Phantom, and discussed the matters regarding the Hindi remake. The actors who will reprise Kartikeya and Payal Rajput's roles in the Bollywood version are yet to be locked.
