While Thugs Of Hindostan is being touted as this year’s big-ticket Diwali bonanza, there’s a lot of curiosity about what Aamir Khan will sign next. Recent reports suggest that the actor already has a project on his mind. And this time, it’s a Hollywood film that has caught his fancy.
While the superstar is co-producing the Gulshan Kumar biopic with Bhushan Kumar, he’s not acting in it. There was talk that the Dangal actor might play Osho aka Bhagwaan Rajneesh in a film to be directed by Shakun Batra (of Kapoor & Sons fame). However, a source tells us, “Work on that has been currently paused. The team is reworking the script on Aamir’s advice. There are several parts of the storyline that he had not agreed upon.”
The source adds, “He is interested in remaking a Hollywood movie, which was produced by Paramount Pictures. Aamir never spills the beans about his projects till all the details are chalked out. No wonder, he is keeping the name of this film under wraps. It will be revealed only when everything is finalized as talks are currently underway to acquire the rights.”
