Saina Nehwal and Parupalli Kashyap will play mixed doubles for life now. Yes. In love for over 10 years, Saina and Kashyap will finally tie the knot. They will become man and wife on December 16 in a simple function attended by select few.

Saina and Parupalli Kashyap have been in a relation for over 10 years, but they kept it under wraps. Though there have been rumours,both have denied it. Saina and Kashyap rarely met publicly and even when Saina trained in Bengaluru, Kashyap used to meet her frequently, but never under media glare. "We are just friends," was what both used to say.

Saina and Kashyap met at the Gopichand Academy and became friends. Later, the friendship blossomed into love and both began seeing each other. Though both were extremely busy with their sporting career, they continued to pep up one another. But, just as every match will have a match point and Saina-Kashyap too will have their match point on December 16.

Interestingly, India has many sporting couples. For instance, VVS Laxman is married to a sportswoman. PV Sindhu's parents are sportspersons. Similarly, Karnam Malleswari is married to a Haryanvi weightlifter. Now, we will have another sporting couple.
