Telangana Congress Leader Jagga Reddy Arrested for Passport Fraud

Former Sangareddy MLA Thoorpu Jayaprakash Reddy alias Jaggareddy has been arrested on Monday night for alleged involvement in Visa and Passport Scam. DCP B Sumathi told fraud practices of Jaggareddy has come to their notice on Monday morning and he was taken into custody by the end of the day.

In 2004, Jaggareddy has written a letter to Passport Officer using the MLA Letterhead seeking issuance of passports for his Wife Nirmala, Daughter Jayalakshmi and Son Bharat Sai Reddy. While the actual age of Jaggareddy's Son is 4, False Documents have been produced to project the age as 17. While his Daughter was born in 1997, Date Of Birth in the passport is mentioned as 1987.

Task Force Police came to know that Three Gujaratis have been shifted to America by the Former MLA using false documents. A Case has been booked against Jagga Reddy under Sections 419, 490, 468, 471, 370, Section 12 of the Passport Act and Section 24 of the Immigration Act. He will be produced in the Secunderabad court Today.
