Shankar Reveals Secrets Behind 2.O

2.O is slated for a November release and all the eyes are on the visual extravaganza. The teaser which was unveiled recently gives a gist on how and what the film is going to be. The film has 2,00,000 shots of VFX and perhaps the first ever Indian film to have such high and costly visual effects.

It has been 8 years since the release of the first part and all of us are waiting to know how different is the sequel going to be. Well, here is what Shankar has revealed about the film in an interview.

Not in a hurry

Many people, when it comes to a sequel, they begin shooting immediately and sometimes it doesn't work. Well, it's not my cup of tea. I want my product to be the best and so, I have put in eight years of my life informing the story, writing the script for the sequel and them making. I planned the sequel very carefully.

Shocked with what people write

Sometimes I keep reading the news and comments of public on 2.O. Especially after the teaser was released, people started writing whatever they want on social media. Sometimes I find news which is very much true with what has happened. But some news and gossips put me in shock. I get amazed by what they write and I laugh at them.

It was Rahman's idea

The second version of something that is similar to that of the first one is called 2.O and that's how Rahman has composed a song. The song had 2.O in the lyrics and I felt it was very cute and attracting. So I thought why it can't go as the title itself.

Larger than life story

The film will have inhuman characters too and it is none other than Akshay Kumar. The first thought that came to my mind was about a group of mobile phones flying and I visualized it. I felt that visual very intriguing and that's how the build the story.

A student always

Rajini sir is always like an obedient student. Even at the age of 67, he has tons of patience. He performed for action shots even after having high temperatures in the body.
