Two Bank Accounts of Mahesh Babu has been attached by Hyderabad GST Commissionerate for evading Service Tax for the Assessment Year 2007-08.
Reportedly, Mahesh Babu failed to pay service tax for the Assessment Year 2007-08 for the taxable services such as brand endorsements and public appearance for promotion of products. While the total tax due from Superstar was Rs 18.5 lakh, The amount he should pay has gone up to Rs 73.5 lakh due to Interest and Penalty.
What happened Today will remain as a black remark on Mahesh Babu who is known for his clean image. Hope, He settles the issue with Tax Officials as early as possible.
