Two months ago, Congress President Rahul Gandhi took a dig at the BJP leaders saying that the country should be saved from BJP leaders and he came up with "Beti Bachao from BJP ke Mantri" slogan, singing in chorus with the global #MeeToo movement. Not stopping at that, he has attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi again for huge public spending for the "Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao" campaign that aims to boost girl's education in the country.
Taking to twitter, Rahul Gandhi tweeted an article which points out the discrepancies in the implementation of the "Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao" campaign and said: "Modi Bachao, Advertisiement Chalao." The report reveals some shocking facts on how disbursement of funds has been inadequate and inefficient, affecting the very basis of the scheme.
The report states that the data was provided by Union Minister of State for Women and Child Development, Dr Virendra Kumar, in the Lok Sabha, in response to a question posed by five Members of Parliament: Kapil Patil and Shivkumar Udasi of the BJP, Sushmita Dev of the Congress, Gutha Sukender Reddy of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi and Sanjay Jadhav of the Shiv Sena.
