It looks like Rajamouli is planning to rope in Bollywood actresses for RRR to get the film a nationwide craze. NTR and Ram Charan have a huge craze down South, so there has been a lot of excitement and anticipation for the film. However, RRR getting a wide release in the South alone is not enough considering the kind of money being splurged.
Since RRR is not a costume drama like the Baahubali franchise, Rajamouli seems to be looking at Bollywood actresses to add the necessary craze in the Northern circuits. In this scenario, there have been reports that Rajamouli recently met one of the most happening Bollywood actresses, Alia Bhatt, and narrated her RRR's story.
The buzz is that Baahubali's Hindi presenter Karan Johar had felicitated the meeting between Rajamouli and Alia. Incidentally, it was Karan who introduced Alia with Student Of The Year a few years ago and Alia looks up to him as her godfather. Karan is said to have advised Alia to sign RRR without thinking twice since it's a Rajamouli film.
The ball is in Alia's court now and she may give her nod to the project after sorting out her dates. On the other hand, if Rajamouli also has to rope in another Bollywood actress of equal stature like Alia since the film has two leading Tollywood stars. Of course, there were rumours that Rajamouli had also approached Parineeti Chopra for the other female lead's role. Well, some clarity may emerge once RRR's second schedule is concluded.
