During a video conference with BJP Karyakartas from Andhra Pradesh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had listened to several concerns of his cadre and addressed them. However, at some instances, Modi exhibited rival-like behavior whenever his party members spoke about AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.
When BJP State President Kanna Lakshminarayana spoke to Modi, he thanked the Prime Minister for sanctioning several National Highways and Tribal University for Vizianagaram district. However, criticizing Chandrababu, Kanna said: "Our Chief Minister is Lucha, Liar, Cheater and he is looting this state." During this banter of Kanna, Modi smirked sarcastically.
On the other hand, BJP needs to understand that the people of Andhra Pradesh are being insulted for demanding their rightful share as promised in the AP Reorganisation Act, 2014. And, by showing the state’s Chief Minister in the bad light, BJP will not gain anything. In fact, there are high chances that the party’s image among people will further deteriorate.
