Actors News: Taraks Heroine Raises Pay Disparity Issue

Pooja Hegde made her debut in Tollywood with the film Mukunda but it did not give her the much-needed fame. It was the film Duvvada Jagannadham that made Pooja Hegde a bankable heroine in the industry. Post the release of DJ, there is no looking back for Pooja in Tollywood as well as Bollywood film industries.

Interestingly, the actress is seen talking about the remuneration difference between male stars and female stars in the film industry. The actress expressed an opinion that the industry should start paying female stars equal to that of their male counterparts.

She feels that the female stars are also putting an effort equal to that of men and the pay disparity issue is something that needs to be addressed. Quoting the names of Raazi and Veere Di Wedding, Pooja opined that female stars were also successful in pulling off 100 crore projects.

After being a part of a successful film Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava last year, the actress is currently looking forward to her next biggest, Maharshi starring Mahesh Babu.
