Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, and Zoya Akhtar had been promoting their movie Gully Boy prior to its release. They even screened the film and put on a show at the Berlinale Film Festival. While they were promoting the movie before release, Ranveer's wife Deepika Padukone is promoting the movie post-release.
She posted a photo which perfectly portrayed the world of 'Gully Boy' Ranveer Singh in the film. The image she shared, is a sketch of Ranveer's Gully Boy poster, with 'Apna Time Aayega' lyrics embossed in the background of a notebook. The photo was clicked with the notebook containing the sketch in the center, with a pencil and watch on its left side and earphones on the right side.
In the movie, Ranveer plays a college student who is waiting for his time to come and still working towards it by taking inspiration from other raps and the world around him. Deepika captioned the photo as, "#GullyBoy #NowPlaying#LetsGoToTheMovies".
Interestingly Deepika Padukone was the first person to watch the movie. She accompanied Ranveer to the screening on Valentine's Day itself. Co-incidentally, this isn't the first time when Deepika has turned a cheerleader for Ranveer's film. Prior to this, she had also grooved to 'Aaya Police' in order to promote Ranveer's movie Simmba.
