Flash News: Raai Laxmi opens up on love, break ups and rumours


After making her debut in Telugu with Kanchana Mala Cable TV, actress Lakshmi Raai continued to concentrate in Kollywood. Having come from the modelling background, the actress made a mark for herself with high glamour quotient in Tamil and Malayalam cinema. Recently, she changed her name to Raai Laxmi and tried her luck in the Bollywood with Julie-2 but the film ended up as a big disappointment for her.

However, she made sure to stay in touch with our Telugu audiences through the item songs. After shaking her leg with Ravi Teja in Balupu, she also got an opportunity to dance with Pawan Kalyan in Sardaar Gabbar Singh & Megastar Chiranjeevi in Khaidi No:150. Now, she is making an another attempt to woo Telugu audiences with super hot glam role in 'Where is the Venkata Lakshmi?' As part of the promotions, the beauty dropped in Hyderabad recently and spoke to media.

Speaking about her 15-year old film career, Raai said she is very proud of it and 'I did not struggle to make an entry into films but I have struggled to gain success and faced several problems in my journey. In the initial days of my career, I was misguided by some people and caused some controversies.'

Reacting about the controversies and rumours that she is part of, the beauty said 'they have become part and parcel of my career. I've been linked with several actors I worked with in the past. Now, I am very much used to such rumors. Today, parents are proud of my work but the rumors on me have depressed them in the initial days.'

She also opened up about her love life saying: 'I had a few love stories and break ups in life. I need a person who can respect my thoughts and work in life. I broke up with one for the same reason some time back.'
