Film Festival: Salman Khan gets the security team in a frenzy as he attends a film festival in Saudi Arabia, speaks about his parents

Salman Khan is in Dhahran to attend the Saudi Film Festival, being held at the King Abdulaziz Culture Centre, Ithra, as part of the Sharqiah Season.


Bollywood actor Salman Khan reached Saudi Arabia Monday to attend a film festival, much to the excitement of his fans. Salman is in Dhahran to attend the Saudi Film Festival, being held in the King Abdulaziz Culture Centre, Ithra, as part of the Sharqiah Season.

According to a report in Arab News, Salman spoke about his career and life at the ‘An Evening with the Stars’ event on Sunday. Speaking at the discussion, hosted by journalist Raya Abi Rashed, Salman said his father was his first inspiration and revealed that his first job was as an assistant director, a Saudi Gazette report said. He also claimed that his initial roles were limited to lawyers and engineers. Salman also discussed the foundations of success in Bollywood and highlighted the obstacles he has faced in his career.

In a video that has surfaced online, Salman’s is greeted by a huge crowd of airport personnel rushing towards him as he comes down a flight of stairs to get into a car. We also hear two men talking: ‘Who is here?’ asks one and the other says ‘Salman Khan’. The first person then replies, ‘Ah, Salman Khan? Killer gentleman!”


 Recently, Salman shared a video message about being part of the six-day Saudi Film Festival for the first time. “Hello Saudi Arabia, assalamu alaikum. See you at Ithra on the 24th of March, InshaAllah,” he said. The Sharqiah Season will run until the end of the month, with more than 83 activities in nine cities.

On the work front, Salman Khan is all set to launch the trailer of Ali Abbas Zafar’s Bharat, his latest film with Katrina Kaif next month and will soon begin work on Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Inshallah, which that also stars Alia Bhatt. He is also promoting his production venture, Notebook, which marks the Bollywood debut of Nutan’s granddaughter Pranutan and Zaheer Iqbal.
