Alia Bhatt follows the footsteps of Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor

Bollywood actors turning into producers are something which has been happening for several years. Actors namely Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and others have been producing their films for many years now. Even Priyanka Chopra Jonas has been backing regional films with her home production Purple Pebble Pictures. This year, we will be seeing Shahid Kapoor and Deepika Padukone donning the hat of the producer with their upcoming films.

As per reports in a portal, Alia Bhatt is also following their footsteps and now she has also turned into a producer. There were reports making the rounds about the actor buying a new property and it will be her second house. But it's going to be her production office. Talking about the same, Alia stated, "Yes, I’ve started my own production house. I’ve named it Eternal Sunshine Productions."

On being quizzed about the content she will be producing under her home banner, the talented actor replied, "I am yet to formulate solid production plans but we have a team working on it. I can tell you this I’ll produce the kind of films that I like watching."

Meanwhile, on the work front, Alia will next be seen in Abhishek Varman's period-drama titled Kalank. In the film, she will be starring alongside Madhuri Dixit-Nene, Sanjay Dutt, Varun Dhawan, Sonakshi Sinha, and Aditya Roy Kapur. The much-awaited flick is slated to release on April 19, 2019.

Post-Kalank, Alia has Brahmastra which is helmed by Ayan Mukerji. The film stars Ranbir Kapoor as the male lead and is slated to release during Christmas 2019.
