Here's when Ajay Devgn's sports biopic by 'Badhaai Ho' director Amit Sharma will go on floors
In July 2018, Arjun Kapoor announced his dad Boney Kapoor's upcoming production based on Indian Football from 1951 to 1962. He posted the first look of the film on his Instagram page and wrote, "My father the man who never gives up or caves in he’s bringing A super talented team together to showcase the life of India's legendary football coach, Syed Abdul Rahim! A collaboration between #BoneyKapoor, @zeestudiosofficial & @freshlimefilms. Starring @ajaydevgn, directed by #AmitSharma, screenplay by @saiwyn, and dialogues by @writish1"
In the film, Ajay Devgn will be seen playing the role of Syed Abdul Rahim who was a coach and manager of the Indian national football team.
Amit was also asked about 'content-driven' films working at the box office. To which he replied, "I think it’s a really nice time for cinema. We are getting to hear and watch good and unconventional stories and I am happy that those films are doing well at the box office. I think people are going to theatres to watch those films, that’s why they are doing good business."
