With each passing in the run-up to the Lok Sabha polls 2019, political parties are coming up with new issues to hit out at each other and intensify their electoral campaign. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) hits out at Congress party chief Rahul Gandhi for calling PM Modi 'weak' leader after China once again blocked listing of Masood Azhar as a UN-designated terrorist at the UNSC.

Former Delhi Chief Minister Shiela Dikshit in an interview said that former PM Manmohan Singh was a 'weak' PM then PM Modi, however, she later said that her remarks were twisted.

1. BJP slams Congress president Rahul Gandhi for calling PM Modi 'weak'


The BJP on Thursday slammed Rahul Gandhi for calling PM Modi a 'weak' leader and scared of Chinese president Xi Jinping after China once again blocked listing of Masood Azhar as UN-designated terrorist. 2. Congress leader Tom Vadakkan joins BJP


Senior Congress leader and close aide to veteran leader Sonia Gandhi, Tom Vadakkan on Thursday joined BJP. In a major blow to the Congress party, was the former All India Congress Committee (AICC) Secretary. Vadakkan slammed the Congress party for its stand on the Pulwama terror attack and the way Congress reacted on the air strikes conducted by the Indian Air Force on Jaish terror camps in Balakot, Pakistan. 3. Former Delhi CM Sheila Dikshit on her 'weak' Manmohan as PM remark


Former Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit in an interview to a news channel was quoted saying that former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was a 'weak' then PM Modi. 4. NCP announces the first list of 12 candidates


The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) which has aligned with the Congress party for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls, on Thursday declared its first list of 12 candidates. The party has fielded senior leader Supriya Sule from Baramati. The party has also given the ticket to Mohammad PP Faizal from Lakshadweep. 5. TMC MLA Arjun Singh joins BJP


A Trinamool Congress (TMC) MLA Arjun Singh joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday ahead of the Lok Sabha elections. Arjun Singh joined the party in the presence of BJP national general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya, party's state election committee convenor Mukul Roy. 6. Shiv Sena asks BJP to remain cautious while inducting leaders from opposition parties


BJP's ally Shiv Sena on Tuesday asked its alliance partner to be cautious while inducting leaders from opposition parties. Shiv Sena said doing so may pose problems in the future. "The incoming from the Congress and NCP may be seen as beneficial today, but it can cause problems in future, we have this experience. Today, people are coming because there is power.
