Actor-filmmaker Farhan Akhtar has shared a romantic picture with girlfriend Shibani Dandekar. He captioned the picture, posted on Instagram on Monday, ‘beach bums’.

Farhan is wearing a peach-colored T-shirt in the picture, along with a large headband. Shibani is wearing a swimsuit and a shrug. Both seem to be laughing heartily, with palm trees in the background. Farhan and Shibani frequently share pictures with each other on social media. In April, Farhan shared a photo in which he was wearing a bandhgala and was accompanied by Shibani. He captioned it, ‘Sunshine and smiles’. Hrithik Roshan called the picture “beautiful” in the comments section. Dia Mirza responded with heart emojis to the post.

Earlier this year, Farhan wrote a romantic post for Shibani, fuelling dating rumors. “I don’t know if you find love or love finds you,” he wrote, “Either way, it’s a gift from the universe.” The speculation has now moved on to the subject of their engagement and possible wedding. This was helped along by pictures shared by Farhan, in which he proudly displayed their rings.

Farhan was asked about the engagement by Shibani herself, in an episode of TapeCast. She said: “Hey Farhan, are we getting married in April or May? Can you please let me know because I am very confused.” He replied, “I think she is having a lot of fun with a lot of news that is going around currently, about us looking for wedding planners.”

In an interview with Mid-Day, Shibani spoke about her relationship. “I am not secretive, but I don’t feel the need to say things out loud,” she said. Farhan had been married to celebrity hairstylist Adhuna Bhabani for 16 years and has two daughters with her. They divorced in 2016. He recently wrapped filming on Shonali Bose’s The Sky is Pink, which stars Priyanka Chopra in the lead role, along with Zaira Wasim.
