Buzz Report: Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Akshay Kumar to collaborate for "Rowdy Rathore 2"

Sanjay Leela Bhansali was also the producer for Akshay Kumar-Sonakshi Sinha starrer Rowdy Rathore

'Don't angry me' became the nation's anthem back when Akshay Kumar said the dialogue in his 2012 release Rowdy Rathore. Chin Ta Ta steps too became a sensation, and the movie, directed by Prabhudheva ended up becoming one of the most entertaining ones made in the year.

Latest news reports now suggest that Rowdy Rathore 2 is in the pipeline. Free Press Journal goes on to report that the movie would go on floors in 2020. The report states that Sanjay Leela Bhansali is once again on board with the film which will again see Akshay Kumar reprise his role as IPS Vikram Singh Rathore aka Shiva.

“Lekin Akshay ko phursat kahan? (Where does Akshay have the time)? Sanjay Bhansali has sounded him out on several occasions. When in January 2018 Bhansali and Akshay hosted a press conference to announce that Akshay’s Padman was moving out of January 26 slot to accommodate Bhansali’s Padmaavat, Akshay had jokingly commented that he wanted Rowdy Rathore 2 to be made,” a source told the daily.

While the leading lady is still not decided (could be Sonakshi Sinha once again as Akshay Kumar's lover Paro), the report further goes on to state that the sequel would not be helmed by Prabhudheva. For the uninitiated, the idea of the sequel had been in the pipeline for the longest time.
