After blockbuster Kabir Singh, Shahid Kapoor has opted for yet another remake of Telugu film. This time he has chosen a sports backdrop film Jersey which has Nani in the original. Shahid turned a passionate cricketer in this emotional sports drama laced with the father-son sentiment.
Shahid Kapoor is currently undergoing cricket training before beginning the film's shoot. Shahid is being trained in batting. Gowtam Tinnanuri, who had directed the original, is helming the Hindi remake as well. Sharing the glimpse from his training, Shahid commented, "#jersey the prep begins"
The film is jointly produced by Aman Gill, Allu Aravind, and Dil Raju. It is slated for 28 Aug 2020 release.
