Actor Gossip: Deepika Padukone, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Ananya Panday to star in 'intriguing relationship drama' by Shakun Batra

Deepika Padukone, Siddhant Chaturvedi, and Ananya Panday are roped in to play lead roles in Shakun Batra's upcoming directorial produced by Karan Johar.

A few days ago, it had been reported that Shakun Batra of Kapoor & Sons fame is going to be helming a movie produced by Karan Johar under his home banner Dharma Productions. Moreover, it had been also reported by Mumbai Mirror that the film will star Deepika Padukone and Siddhant Chaturvedi within the lead roles. A source told the tabloid, "Shakun wanted to cast a fresh face alongside Deepika and he felt Siddhant fit the bill.

Now, it's confirmed that Deepika and Siddhant are finalized to play lead roles in Shakun's film. they're going to be joined by none aside from Ananya Panday. Talking about the film, Karan told Bombay Times, "Shakun has directed one among the foremost acclaimed films of Dharma Productions — Kapoor & Sons. With this movie, he also turns producer with us. His upcoming directorial is an intriguing relationship drama, which can release on Valentine’s Day 2021. I'm proud and excited about Shakun’s vision as a flexible filmmaker."

While Shakun shared, "I have had an exquisite journey with Karan and his production house for nearly a decade now, and that i can’t wait to urge back to the director’s chair for my next. It’s a relationship drama where the characters find themselves stuck during a morally ambiguous zone."

Currently, Deepika is gearing up for the discharge of her upcoming film, Chhapaak which is hitting the screens on January 10, 2020.

While Siddhant has been signed to play the lead in Bunty Aur Babli 2 opposite debutante Sharvari.

Whereas, Ananya is currently shooting for Khaali Peeli opposite Ishaan Khatter.
