'A lot of people struggle to become a part of this industry, but I was lucky that I did not have to really struggle.'

'My struggle started after becoming a part of this industry, and, Oh my God, the struggle!'

Zareen Khan is beginning a new inning in her career.

She makes her television debut with the AXN show, Jeep Bollywood Trails, where she will take audiences to locations where some of Bollywood's biggest blockbusters have been shot.

An avid traveler herself, Zareen says Jeep Bollywood Trails is more than just a travel show.

And the best part, she says, is that it combines two of her favorite things. She tells Rediff.com Contributor Mohnish Singh what they are in this video:

Was this the first television show offered to you?

A lot of TV shows have been offered to me but I did not find them interesting.

A travel show is something that I don't think I can ever say no to (smiles).

Which was your favorite location?

I enjoyed every location that I visited.

Most of them were places that I have been to before, but I saw them in a completely different light during this show.

If I have to choose one place, I would say Ladakh because that was on my bucket list.

If you had to go on a date on any of these locations, which one would you pick?

Ladakh is too far to go on a date.

The closest is Goa, and one of the beautiful locations that we have.

Manali is also a favorite, but again, it's too far for a date.

What kind of traveller are you?

I am a complete hippie when it comes to traveling.

I am not somebody who would go on holiday carrying designer clothes and only click pictures for Instagram and then chill in my hotel room.

I carry the most comfortable clothes so that I can explore the whole place.

I believe in seeing the history, the culture, historical monuments, meeting local people and tasting the local food, rather than shopping and enjoying the nightlife.

What's the best part of being an actress in Bollywood? Zareen answers in this video:

Where do you love to go when you need a break?

It depends on how many days I have.

If I have a very short time, then I go to Panchgani or somewhere close by.

If I have a longer period of time, then I go to places like up north, like Manali.

I love Goa as well.

I have not explored the northeast side of India, and I really want to.

Do you stick to your diet when you travel?

It's all about balance.

I mean when you are traveling, you really cannot stick to your diet.

Travelling is an experience and you have to experience it as a whole.

I make sure I eat something local, whether it is a part of my diet or not. I can always burn it out in the gym.

Which Indian city has the best food?

Chandigarh.

I love Punjabi food.

Zareen gives five fitness tips in this video:

If you were given a chance, would you like to sign up for Bigg Boss?

No. I have no patience, especially this season that I am watching -- Oh My God! I wonder how people control themselves!

They come this close to each other but do not hit each other.

I do not think I have that control.

I would end up hitting something and then just getting out of the house. Rather not go there.

Zareen talks about playing a lesbian in her new film, Hum Bhi Akele Tum Bhi Akele in this video:

What celebrity would you rate as perfect 10?

Kareena Kapoor Khan. She is my woman-crush.

She is just GORGEOUS!

You complete a decade in the Hindi film industry. How do you see your journey over the years?

Well, it has been a rollercoaster ride.

A lot of people struggle to become a part of this industry, but I was lucky that I did not have to really struggle.

My struggle started after becoming a part of this industry, and, Oh my God, the struggle!

It has been a learning experience.

There have been ups and downs, good and bad.

I won't say that I am a pro, but now, I know everything.

And yet, I am still learning and hope I have a long way to go.
