Deepika Padukone snapped outside Nehru University, to support students protesting against JNU Violence in Delhi.
JNU Violence: Deepika Padukone joins protests by students at Nehru University in Delhi
After attacks on Nehru University (JNU) students, nationwide protests are happening from the past two days. Several Bollywood celebrities headed to Gateway of India and Bandra where they joined the masses to protest against the violence. Many celebs namely Taapsee Pannu, Richa Chadda, Dia Mirza Mallika Dua, Ali Fazal and directors Anurag Kashyap and Anubhav Sinha were clicked. Moreover, at events held across the countries attended by Bollywood celebs, they were quizzed about it too.
A while back, Deepika was snapped outside Nehru University (JNU) where she joined the scholars who were protesting against the violence. The actor was seen wearing black and was standing in solidarity with the scholars who came out on roads to protest against the violent act which happened on Sunday night.

Meanwhile, Deepika traveled to Delhi to market her soon-to-be-released film Chhapaak. within the film, the actor plays the role of an acid attack survivor and is helmed by Meghna Gulzar. Chhapaak is hitting the screens on January 10, 2020.
