Pooja Hegde has been roped in to play the feminine lead opposite Salman Khan in 'Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali'.

Pooja Hegde, whose last Bollywood film was Housefull 4 has bagged another Sajid Nadiadwala-produced film. Yes, we are talking about Salman Khan starrer Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali which is being helmed by Farhad Samji. When the announcement was made about the superstar's forthcoming film, the manufacturers hadn't announced the feminine lead and now finally they need a reputation. Pooja has become a household name down South and her last outing was Allu Arjun's Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo.

Talking about making her a neighborhood of Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali, Sajid told Mumbai Mirror, "Having worked with Pooja in Housefull 4, we felt she was an ideal fit this film. She has a tremendous screen presence and can bring an honest pair with Salman. they're going to bring freshness to the story."

He also shared, "Judwaa was one among Salman and Bollywood’s first Eid releases. Even my directorial debut, Kick, opened during the festival."

While a source told the tabloid, "His lady love may be a traditional small-town girl who is that the polar opposite of Salman’s character. Pooja has played village roles down South in films like Mukunda, and hence the manufacturers found her apt for the role. There’s a gorgeous mature romance between the 2 characters, and Pooja’s track acts because of the catalyst to the plot."

Meanwhile, Salman won't kickstart Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali before the half-moon of 2020. The film is hitting the screens during Eid 2021. The superstar's next film is Radhe which is releasing during Eid this year. While Pooja is currently filming for Jaan opposite Prabhas.
