'Andaz Apna Apna' sequel: Raveena Tandon reveals opening shot

A lot has been spoken about Andaz Apna Apna sequel and it's being reported that Aamir Khan and Salman Khan are going to be reprising their roles as Amar and Prem from the first film. The film completed 25 years of its release in 2019, and fans are wanting to see the second installment of it. However, it isn't confirmed that Raveena Tandon and Karisma Kapoor will reprise their roles from the first within the sequel.

During her recent interaction with Kareena Kapoor Khan on her radio show, What Women Want, Raveena gave her combat Andaz Apna Apna sequel. She stated, "The first shot of the film will show an image of me and Lolo (Karishma Kapoor) with an incense stick ahead of it with Amar (Aamir Khan) and Prem (Salman Khan) mourning our demise. With us not in their lives, these two guys will then start their new love stories with 21-year-old actresses."

Raveena also shared how pressure for ladies to seem forever young has always been there and called it hypocritical. She shared, "There has always been pressure on us actresses for staying young. What I find extremely hypocritical is how viewers and therefore the media only mention the ladies getting surgery very conveniently forgetting that heroes use them too. Have our heroes found the eternal fountain of youth? Is it something that we don’t know about?"

She also spoke about earlier times, when married women didn't the meatier roles they did before tying the knot. Raveena said, "This wont to be the norm back within the day, a culture thing of sorts that when a heroine gets married, she ceases to be a male fantasy."
