Taapsee Pannu has 'peculiar' reaction to PM Modi's call to light candles on Sunday

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday, addressed the state during a small video clip and urged citizens to collect together for a singular exercise on April 5 at 9 pm to point out their solidarity in fighting against coronavirus by switching off lights for nine minutes and lightweight candles and 'diyas' instead.

On the opposite hand, Kangana Ranaut’s sister Rangoli Chandel welcomed the new initiative by the PM and wrote, "Lighting Diyas may be a excellent gesture, diya creates an ethereal aura which is extremely calming and effective, to point out one another our support let’s do that , i really like how @narendramodi ji also focuses on our emotional needs and tries to heal us in every way .... Jai Shri Ram."

For the uninformed, the PM said in his address on Friday, "On this Sunday, April 5, we'll challenge the darkness of coronavirus threat together. On April 5, at 9 pm, i want your 9 minutes. At 9 pm, close up all the lights in your houses and lightweight a Diya, candle, torch or flashlight for 9 minutes at your doors, or balcony."

The Prime Minister further added that the task will send a message that no-one among the 130 crore Indians is alone, however, he advised people to try to to so from within their houses or balconies while practising social distancing.
