Beauty Gossip: Shilpa Shetty exposes on miscarriages, trying for adoption before choosing surrogacy

During an interaction, Shilpa Shetty Kundra spoke at length about choosing surrogacy.

Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra welcomed a daughter named Samisha via surrogacy earlier this year. The couple features a son named Viaan and has been trying for a second child from a real while. The actor had shared a couple of glimpses of the baby on her Instagram page and also opened about choosing surrogacy. Now during an interaction with Pinkvilla, Shilpa revealed that she suffered miscarriages too before choosing surrogacy.

The actor stated, "After Viaan, I did want to possess another child for the longest time. But I suffered from an autoimmune disorder called APLA which came into play whenever I buy pregnant. So I had a few miscarriages so it had been a real issue."

Shilpa also opened about adoption plans by sharing, "I didn’t want Viaan to get older as one child, because I’m also one among two and that I skill important it's to possess a sibling. Coming from that thought, I did explore other ideas also but that didn’t pan out well. At a time once I wanted to adopt, I had put in my name and everything was underway. But then, the Christian missionary packs up because they had a tiff with Kara. I waited for nearly four years then, I used to be so irritated and that we decided to undertake the surrogacy route."

The actor also shared about how Samisha was conceived after three attempts. Shilpa concluded by saying, "We had been trying for a second child for five years. I had signed Nikamma and had committed my dates to Hungama once I got the news that in February, we were getting to be parents again. We cleared our work schedules for the entire month."
