Actors Gossips: Richa Chadha shares a reminder post, says am an actor, not a revolutionary

The actor, taking to her Instagram account wrote about what all she had been indulging in during the pandemic-induced pan-India lockdown earlier this year, and mentioned that it had been a reminder post, stating, she is an actor, not a revolutionary.

'Fukrey' star Richa Chadha, whose name had been dragged by actor Payal Ghosh while the latter made sexual misconduct allegation against filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, was in self-analyzing mode on Tuesday.

The actor, taking to her Instagram account wrote about what all she had been indulging in during the pandemic-induced pan-India lockdown earlier this year, and mentioned that it had been a reminder post, stating, she is an actor, not a revolutionary.

Alongside an image of herself sporting a full-length black and golden shimmery number shot against the backdrop of a beach, Richa wrote, "In this lockdown... I even have: Been understanding, Been boxing, Been learning a stick self-defense form, Been Learning a replacement form a belly dance, Been Learning the way to cook, Been Meditating, Been Writing a script, Been Writing a book, abandoning of toxic friends, Been starting a production studio ... Reminder post, that I'm an actor, not a revolutionary... wondering why the situations in my life are forcing me to be called one....(sic)."

Earlier, on Monday, Richa Chadha via her lawyer released a press release on Payal Ghosh's allegations. In her #MeToo allegations against the filmmaker, Payal dragged the name of Huma Qureshi, Richa Chadha, and Mahie Gill. Now through her lawyer Advocate Saveena Bedi Sachar, the 'Fukrey' actor condemned the act of her name being dragged unnecessarily and during a defamatory manner.

The statement read as: "Our Client 'Ms. Richa Chadda', condemns the act of her name being unnecessarily and falsely dragged during a defamatory manner into controversies and allegations being recently raised by third parties.

Though our Client believes that genuinely wronged women should get justice in the least costs, some legislations are intended to make sure that ladies have equal standing in their workplace and to make sure that they need a cordial workplace during which their dignity and self-respect is protected. No woman are often allowed to misuse their liberties to harass other women with unsubstantiated or non-existent, false and baseless allegations.

Our Client has initiated appropriate action and shall further pursue her legal rights and remedies in law as could also be advised in her best interest."

Meanwhile, Richa's beau and actor Ali Fazal took to his Instagram page and reposted the legal notice shared by Richa. He was all praises for his fiancée and also wrote that folks like her make the planet a far better place.
