Actors Gossips: YouTube channel slammed for adding "ek chutki sindoor" on Anushka Sharma Diwali picture

A YouTube channel added 'sindoor' on Anushka Sharma's forehead and lots of netizens were furious

Anushka Sharma gave her fans a pleasing surprise by sharing a photograph of herself looking pretty in white on the occasion of Diwali. The photos shared by her went viral instantly. A YouTube channel however decided to morph her picture and add 'ek chutki sindoor' thereto.

A Twitter user noticed the change and raised an issue on the necessity to feature a sindoor to her photo. Most other comments were all about 'sanskaar' and 'Indian aunties approving the channel'.

Needless to mention, the YouTube channel 'Universal In Sights' received tons of backlash for the photoshop.

For the uninformed, it's been a ritual among Hindu married women to wear a sindoor, red bangles and a mangalsutra. Over the years, the stigma around constantly wearing a sindoor or mangalsutra broke and now it's the woman's choice.

Decked up for Diwali celebrations, Anushka Sharma exuded radiance as she dazzled in a chic white outfit as she hid her baby bump with the assistance of her beautiful dupatta. However, her pregnancy glow wasn't something that she could hide. 

The actress-turned-producer teamed her outfit with matching white chudidaar, golden earrings, white and gold juttis and kept her hair open as she posed for the captures with a gorgeous smile on her face. 

“Got all dressed up to take a seat reception and eat. And it had been great. Hope you all had a gorgeous Diwali,” Anushka captioned the post.

Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli announced they're expecting to show parents earlier this year. they're set to welcome their first child in January 2021.
