"At that point, it did hurt because those are the days once you are forming your self-confidence and you're learning to like yourself," Anaya said.

Bollywood actress Ananya Panday, who was last seen in 'Khaali Peeli' opposite Ishaan Khattar, recently opened about being body-shamed.

In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, the 'Liger' actor said that folks want to say she seemed like a boy and sometimes addressed her with terms like 'flat-screen, with the regard to her assets. Ananya expressed how the mean comments and nasty remarks led her to doubt herself.

Daughter of actor Chunky Panday and Bhavna Panday, Ananya was within the media limelight even before she set foot within the show business. In her new interview, she also opened about the primary time she began getting trolled and therefore the effect it had on her.

"I don't remember the precise time but I remember there wont to be pictures of me with my parents. At that point , I wasn't an actor. i might leave with my parents and as I said, i used to be very thin. People wont to say I appear as if a boy, a flatscreen and every one those sorts of things," she told Bollywood Bubble during a video interview.

She added, "At that point, it did hurt because those are the days once you are forming your self-confidence and you're learning to like yourself. And then, once you desire somebody else is pulling you down, you begin doubting yourself, the way you look, and everything. But I desire now, slowly, I'm reaching some extent where I'm just focussing on accepting myself."

She further added, "If that's sorted which is my foundation then nothing can hurt me since I'm asleep with myself and that I love myself. I'm not saying it's happened. it's an ongoing process but I feel this realization is more important than what anyone else says."

For the unversed, in 2019, Ananya had launched an initiative 'So Positive', to tackle cyberbullying.

Meanwhile, on the professional front, Anaya is going to be next seen in Shakun Batra's next alongside Siddhant Chaturvedi and Deepika Padukone. She also has 'Liger', opposite Telugu star Vijay Deverakonda.
