Although it did very well at the Telugu box office, it also became a big topic of discussion for another reason. Much of the Hindi media, which often likes to see heroines playing patriotic roles in revealing outfits, criticized Janhvi's glamorous portrayal and the director Buchi Babu Sana's approach.
