Veteran Actor : A Pooja for Sridevis Death Anniversary in Chennai

A year ago, the Indian film industry grieved superstar Sridevi’s untimely demise. Though the actress passed away on February 24, 2018, as per the tithi, her death anniversary will be observed on February 14. The rituals that take place for the barsi will be held at her Chennai home, which is right next to Dr. M Karunanidhi’s residence. Boney Kapoor along with daughters Janhvi and Khushi will be present there. Anil Kapoor’s wife, Sunita, as well as some of the other close family members, will also be present. Though it’s been a year since Sri departed, Boney and the rest of the Kapoor khandaan are yet to come to terms with their irreplaceable loss.

Veteran actress Sridevi, who was termed as the first female superstar of Indian cinema, left for heavenly abode in February last year in Dubai due to accidental drowning. Although it’s been a year since his demise, her fans and followers are still coming in terms with her sudden death, which has certainly a monumental loss for the Kapoors and specially for husband Boney Kapoor and daughters, Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor.

Now in loving memory of her, the Kapoors are expected to organize a pooja for Sridevi at her Chennai residence. A report in a leading daily suggests that although her death anniversary falls on February 24, as per the tithi, it will be observed on February 14. The basic rituals to be held at her Chennai house, which happens right next to Dr. M Karunanidhi’s residence, will be attended by Boney, Janhvi and Khushi, apart from Anil Kapoor’s wife Sunita Kapoor and other close family members.

Not to forget, Sridevi could not see her elder daughter’s first film since Janhvi was due to make her debut with Dhadak in July, the same year. Speaking of her mother Sridevi’s tragic death, Janhvi had earlier said that she hasn’t been able to “process it properly” but is thankful to her fans and followers for the love that she has been receiving.
