Adilabad sizzles at 42 degrees Celsius



The day temperatures in the State peaked on Friday with Adilabad recording 42 degrees Celsius highest temperature of the season. The Met department bulletin said while Medak and Nizamabad had the second highest 41 degrees Celsius each, Mahbubnagar and Ramagundam registered 40 degrees Celsius each.

The other temperatures in the State were: Badrachalam, Hanamkonda, Hyderabad and Nalgonda 39 degrees Celsius each, Hakimpet and Khammam 38 each. The day temperatures were above normal ranging from 1.6 to three degrees Celsius in many parts of the State. According to the Met department, the lowest minimum night temperature of 15 degrees Celsius was recorded in Adilabad.
The other night temperatures in the State were: Medak 22, Hakimpet 23, Nizamabad 24, Hanamkonda 25, Nalgonda 25, Hyderabad 26, Mahbubnagar 26, Bhadrachalam and Ramagundam 27 each and Khammam 28.

The forecast said thunderstorm with gusty winds are likely to occur in all the State on March 31 and April 1. Light to moderate rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at isolated places from March 31 to April 4. No large change from April 4 to 6 in the weather outlook.
