Anti-Karnataka comments during the Kaveri agitation have come back to haunt Super Star Rajinikanth. The Kannadigas have ensured that there̢۪s not a single show of Kala anywhere in Karnataka. The film was released everywhere except Karnataka.
Due to his political foray in Tamil Nadu, Rajinikanth made some comments that went against Kannadigas on the Kaveri issue. As a result, the Kannadigas vowed not to allow the screening of Kala. Though Rajini himself appealed to the Kannadigas to let the screening go on. Despite the Supreme Court orders, the Kannadigas did not allow the screening of Rajini film. Even the Karnataka government did not do anything to quell the protests. So, Rajini may have to do something to please Kannadigas so that the film releases in Karnataka.
